A noteworthy second wine to the iconic Clos Apalta, this has all of the class and polish, although it is slightly more approachable in its youth. Ripe and concentrated, with intense cassis and blackcurrant flavours, giving way to roasted coffee and spice notes. The tannins are plush and mouthfilling, but the finish is fresh, giving elegance and finesse.
